Immigrating to Canada...
What You Need to Know About Canadian Immigration

Immigrating to Canada is the dream of thousands of people from around the world.

Why Canada?

Charles Dickens had the answer when he described Canada as a land "full of hope and promise."

Yes, Canada is a land of "hope and promise". It is noted for its prosperity and cultural diversity.

While working as an employment counselor for an immigrant serving agency, Derek asked some of the immigrant professionals why they left good professional jobs in their home countries to immigrate to Canada.

Many of these newcomers said that they had decided on Canadian immigration in order to give their children a better future. Yes, Canada does offer a better future for children -- after all, Canada's future will depend on them.

Although their answers varied from individual to individual, all the answers pointed to the two powerful elements of "hope" and "promise", not only for their children, but also for themselves. These two words bring to mind a third characteristic... namely, "courage".

As an immigrant to Canada, it requires a tremendous amount of courage to leave your job, your family and friends, your country, your language, and your culture to move to a foreign country.
